Footsteps, an expansion program of Saint Agnes Home Health and Hospice, has been supporting children and teens who have experienced a loss or change for more than 25 years. Its home grown, award-winning, expressive arts curriculum offers a healing bridge for communication among children, parents, grandparents and foster parents whose families are on the unpredictable passageway of grief.
Highlights of the Six-Week Series
- Support groups for children (ages 4 -18) who have experienced loss from death, divorce or separation.
- Support groups for parents/caregivers of children (newborns - age 18).
- Children and parent groups meet concurrently.
- Children’s groups are based on age.
- Trained volunteer facilitators work with small groups of children.
- A mental health professional oversees the program.
- No costs.
